The STCW Fire Prevention and Firefighting course is set up to offer delegates pursing, or in need of Certificates of Competence, capable seafarers, UK watch ratings and others with survival roles at sea the necessary teaching and training in fire prevention and firefighting that attains the required knowledge, understanding and proficiency laid out in the STCW code.

Practical Experience:

Carrying out the initial actions on discovering a fire

Prerequisites

Delegates must be physically capable to undertake this course. The training is taxing, therefore a medical declaration is required from delegates before undergoing the course. If you are uncertain, please consult a doctor.

Photographic ID (A Government issued, photographic proof of identity on the day of the course and this should take the form of either a valid Passport or a driving license or a valid discharge book).
Certification
Successful delegates will be awarded with an MCA approved STCW Fire Prevention and Firefighting certificate, after a short exam.
Special Requirements
You will need writing materials, Towel, toiletries and change of clothing are required.
You must wear comfortable clothes, but not jeans and not clothing with metal built in.

5 years.
